V Competition:
Best Practices that Incorporate a Gender Equality Perspective in Health

The competition aims to identify the
experiences that best address the differential needs and opportunities of men
and women in the sphere of health.
In particular, it aims to identify experiences showing strategies and efforts
undertaken to increase women and men’s opportunities to enjoy optimal
health.
PAHO/WHO will give a US 5,000 dollar
award to the winning best practice and invite a representative to
This competition welcomes
applications from public or private sector organizations; health ministries,
education, national women’s organizations, civil society and/or academia
groups.
Applications are being accepted from
September 21st through November 15th 2011.
