Inter-American Public Health Awards Nomination Period Now Open

Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and Pan American Health and Education Foundation (PAHEF) recognize innovative individuals, programs, institutions, and organizations advancing health in the Americas, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The awards highlight key aspects of public health as a way to stimulate the growth of the next and rising generation of leaders working together to improve health and health care in the Americas.

The five awards in this call are:

·         The Abraham Horwitz Award for Excellence in Leadership in Inter-American Public Health

·         The Clarence H. Moore Award for Excellence for Voluntary Service

·         The Fred L. Soper Award for Excellence in Public Health Literature 

·         The Pedro N. Acha Award for Excellence in Veterinary Public Health

·         The Sérgio Arouca Award for Excellence in Universal Health Care

The nomination period is open through June 14, 2013.
