El propósito de esta publicación, preparada por la Organización Panamericana de la Salud, es compartir y diseminar información actualizada sobre mortalidad prematura
por enfermedades cardiovasculares, mostrando la situación actual, las tendencias más recientes, la posición de cada país en el contexto de la Región y en relación a otros países, y las proyecciones para el 2025, fecha en la cual se espera que todos los países
puedan haber conseguido una reducción de la mortalidad prematura del 25%.
